Adidas Trae Young 2.0 Review
To review this basketball shoe, I looked at multiple different things. The main things I looked at are traction, comfort, weight, durability, fit, and ventilation. Traction is essential for making quick cuts on the court and not losing your balance, Cushioning absorbs shock and makes sure the basketball shoe is comfortable, Weight affects the speed of movement and how heavy the shoe feels, Durability ensures that your shoes will last through many games, Fit is important for comfort and preventing injuries, and Ventilation keeps your feet cool and dry. I consider these to be the most important things in basketball shoes and they are what I use to review them.
Traction- 8.9
The Adidas Trae Young 2.0 has fantastic traction. The rubber outsole is designed to provide an ultra-grippy surface, meaning you won’t ever have to worry about slipping. The traction pattern also does a great job of providing grip in any direction you move.
Comfort- 8.5
The Adidas Trae Young 2.0 has amazing comfort. Even though they aren’t the most comfortable basketball shoe on the market they are extremely comfortable. The midsole is made of a lightweight foam that provides some cushioning and makes sure your feet aren’t taking too much punishment. The insole is also very thick and provides excellent support.
Weight- 7.9
The Adidas Trae Young 2.0 has ok weight. It’s nothing to brag about that’s one of the things that have to suffer if you want to be elite in all the other categories. Even though the weight isn’t the best, it doesn’t affect the bounce of the shoe at all because of the Bouncy Boost in the heel.
Durability- 8.4
The Adidas Trae Young 2.0 has pretty good durability. It is made of some high-quality material and the way the shoe is shaped. Everything from the upper to the outsole is designed to last a long time. As long as you don’t wear them outside, they should last a long time.
Fit- 8.7
The Adidas Trae Young 2.0 has a fantastic fit. This is probably one of its best categories. It’s very snug and stable. The only problem with the fit is that it’s a pain to get on and off, but that just goes to show how great the fit is when you get it on.
Ventilation- 7.2
The Adidas Trae Young 2.0 is not the best. Because it is a very tight-fitting basketball shoe, there isn’t much room to have great ventilation. The materials do a good job of wicking away sweat, but larger ventilation holes would have been appreciated.
Overall- 8.7
The Adidas Trae Young 2.0 is a great basketball shoe and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a versatile basketball shoe. It has great traction, good cushioning, and a snug fit. It does have its drawbacks such as the weight and ventilation, but overall it is an excellent basketball shoe. It is perfect for anyone who needs a versatile and comfortable basketball shoe that can handle any situation they encounter on the court.
